ATI Consulting began operations in October 1991 in the San Francisco area, consulting for senior management and materials/metallurgical engineering groups. Our customer base has been primarily electric power utilities, the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), Westinghouse Electric Corporation, and National Laboratories. ATI has established an additional office in North Carolina to better serve our major clients: EPRI, Duke Energy, PG&E, Consumers Energy, the Nuclear Management Company, and First Energy.
ATI's future business outlook is positive due to rising electric power demand, combined with aging of existing power plants and the lack of development of new power plants. We meet the need of current plants to continue safe and efficient operation beyond original design life. We can also meet utility needs with the potential rebirth of nuclear power plant demand.
Bill Server, President of ATI Consulting, has thirty years of experience in materials applications and structural integrity evaluations, primarily in the electric utility industry. He focuses his expertise toward component life cycle management and continued life assurance assessments/procedures for nuclear facilities and other industries. Mr. Server has specialized in fracture mechanics applications, failure analysis, mechanical/materials testing, product development, and technical/management decision making. His current activities include life attainment and license renewal strategies, application of advanced fracture mechanics approaches to complex technical issues, reactor pressure vessel irradiation embrittlement management, mitigative actions to materials aging, and decision-making approaches for utility management.
Tim Hardin has over thirty years of experience in the operation and design of nuclear power plants. This experience includes primary and secondary plant operations, failure analysis, leak-before-break analysis, fracture mechanics, and reactor pressure vessel irradiation embrittlement analysis and management.
